About the Pod

Since its pipe-dream to its reality, The Upline Cut has been the uniting force of two friends, Luke and Laurel, who live far away from each other. More than that, it’s been an excuse to dive into serious and difficult topics, while having fun at the same time. We hope you join us on this journey!

The mission of The Upline Cut is to build a world in which folks of all backgrounds can engage in verbal work to address systems of oppression.

We envision a world in which we use audio media to communicate with one another, engage with one another on difficult topics, and promote the work of organizations also engaging in anti-oppression work.

Our values are anti-oppression, accountability, and entertainment.

She is the founder of The Upwind Institute, and when she isn’t co-producing The Upline Cut, she’s frequently seen in the commentator booth at an ultimate game and hosting virtual Womxn’s Sports Trivia.
